Established in 1978, we are the leading Petroleum Distillate, MTO and DEF manufacturer and amongst the largest importers of Bitumen in India. Madhusudan Organics Pvt. Ltd. (MOL) is also the distributor of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) for MTO, Hexane and Furnace Oil in West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Assam.

Located in Kolkata, we have an installed production capacity of over 7,200 KL per annum and a storage capacity in excess of 500KL. Currently we are manufacturing various grades of Middle Distillates including Ink Oil, Aluminium Rolling Oil, Paint Solvents, Mineral Turpentine Oil (MTO), Mixed Xylene, Specialty Oils, White Oils, Light Liquid Paraffin, Rubber Processing Oils, Industrial Oils for Lubricants and Bituminous products.
MOL is one of the leading importers of Packed Bitumen and traders of Bulk Bitumen in India. Our latest venture is production of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (AUS32) using fully automatic machines and meeting all ISO 22241 standards.
Our Products
Mineral Turpentine Oil (MTO), Paint Solvents or White spirit also known mineral spirits or, generically, "paint thinner", is a petroleum-derived clear liquid used as a common organic solvent in paints. It is a mixture of aliphatic, open-chain or alicyclic C7 to C12 hydrocarbons. Commonly knows as MTO, Pains solvents are the most widely used solvent in the paint industry. It is primarily used as a cleaning solvent, as a degreasing solvent and as a solvent in paints, varnishes, and asphalt products.
Bitumen is used in construction: primarily as a constituent of products used in paving and roofing applications.
We are amongst the largest importers of Bitumen in India. We provide imported Bitumen grades VG 10, VG 30 and VG 40 in new steel drums as well as in road tankers across India. We also export Bitumen to Bangladesh, Nepal, Vietnam, Bhutan and other SouthAsian countries.
Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) is an operating fluid for Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology, which is used in new heavy-duty commercial vehicles. It is injected into the exhaust system to chemically reduce NOx emissions from diesel powered vehicles, non-road mobile machinery and heavy equipment.
Furnance Oil
Furnace oil is a dark, viscous residual fuel oil which is obtained by blending residual products from various refining processes with suitable diluents usually middle distillates to obtain the required fuel oil grades. These fuel oil grades are similar in nature and have been marketed under different specifications in various countries. In India it is sold under BIS specification IS 1593-1982 (Reaffirmed 1997), Medium Viscosity Grade 2 (MV 2 – 180 cst FO). Furnace Oil is used as fuel for Power Generation in DG Sets, Boilers/ Furnaces/ Air preheater/ Any other Heaters and as Fuel for Bunkering, Fuel/ Feedstock in Fertilizer Plants.

Sri Arun Kumar Jhajharia is a serial entrepreneur and has over 40 years of experience in manufacturing and real estate. He has started and managed companies in various sectors like essential oil, plastic injection moulding, real estate and oil distillation. Arun also serves on the Board of several other organisations that are in the field of manufacturing or trading.
Prateek Jhajharia
Managing Director
Prateek Jhajharia is MOL's Managing Director since 2008. Prior to MOL, Prateek worked at Standard Chartered Bank and IBM Business Consultancy. He is a graduate from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata; holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Finance from ICFAI and has done his MBA from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow.

Puneet Jhajharia is the Founder Director of CropConnect Enterprises, an agri-business venture. Prior to CropConnect Puneet worked at the Grassroots Business Fund and Goldman Sachs. Puneet holds a Masters degree in Engineering and Computer Science from Cornell University, and an M.B.A. from New York University

Megha Jhajharia joined MOL in 2010 and is responsible for Marketing and Sales. Prior to MOL, Megha worked at ICICI Bank. Megha holds a Bachelors in Economics form St. Xavier's College, Kolkata and has done her MBA from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmadabad.
